REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative to medical practice involving the application of pressure to specific points on the feet, ears and hands. This is done by using thumb, finger and hand massage techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a pseudo-scientific system of zones and reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, and causes a physical change to the supposedly related areas of the body. There is no convincing scientific evidence that reflexology is effective for any medical condition, but I have seen improvements to body wellbeing from a few treatments. I think it depends on the individual on how they feel within themselves.
For the first treatment I would like to see the individual for 1 hour and 30 minutes to go through medical history and discuss what they would like to get out of the reflexology. I would advise at least weekly sessions for up to 6-8 weeks, then monthly treatments after this. If you need a top-up, you can visit in-between monthly appointments for a 30-minute treatment.
The Benefits of a 6-Session Package:
Opting for a package of six reflexology sessions allows you to experience the cumulative benefits of regular treatments. Just as stress and tension build up over time, reflexology works best when given the opportunity to work consistently over multiple sessions. Here’s why a 6-session package is ideal:
-
Long-term Stress Relief: Regular reflexology helps keep stress at bay, promoting long-term relaxation and balance.
-
Enhanced Well-being: With ongoing treatments, you'll notice improved mental clarity, reduced tension, and better overall wellness.
-
Customised Care: Each session builds on the previous one, allowing for a personalised approach to your health goals.
